Cemetery
The cemetery of Brittain Presbyterian Church is located adjacent to the church on a beautiful rolling hillside and is today one of the most beautiful cemeteries in this part of the country. Restoration of the cemetery was a special project of the church in connection with its bicentennial celebration in 1968 and great improvements were made during this restoration project. To read more about the cemetery's history, please continue reading information from the Cemetery Tour booklet provided during the 250th Anniversary of the church.
In 2001, Brittain's cemetery was placed on the Department of the Interior's National Park Service Register for the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail.
A local cemetery registry spreadsheet has also been developed to aid with finding specific graves. The spreadsheet can be viewed either by rows or by names.
